Facing the end

I've lost five friends in the last three months--including three fellow Realtors, a client, and the bass player in my college Dixieland band. Not a good fourth quarter.

In a strange way, I was heartened by a Frontline story I happened to watch on the evening I learned of the third death.

The story focuses on a small-town undertaker and poet named Thomas Lynch, who works not with dead people but with the living, those of us who are left behind.

The time you spend with this story will, I hope, be worth your while. Just click the picture.
