January Market Report
Activity in January this year increased by eight percent.
The average sales price was two percent higher than last year's January. This year homes closed 17 days more quickly.
Sellers accepted nine percent less than their original listing price.
Homes
continue to sell more quickly and at higher prices. There are 405 homes on the market in North Tacoma and University Place, with an average listing price of $227,055 and a
median of $246,750.
Indications are that this market is favoring sellers, but buyers can still get mortgages at very low rates.
