Dress rehearsal report

Just a quick note after last night's dress rehearsal for the Seattle Symphony's performance of Alexander Nevsky for the Seattle International Film Festival (Benaroya Hall, 7:30 pm tonight, 7:00 pm Friday, 8:00 pm Saturday, 2 pm Sunday). I heard the entire score for the first time. This is exciting music--it makes the 1812 Overture sound like Musak. If you know someone who thinks symphonic music is boring, bring her (or him). You'll change a mind for life.
